Hey, I'm Manik, the face (and hands) behind Flickr!
It all started two years ago when I was back home in India, on the hunt for beautiful, handmade candles. I looked everywhere and just couldn't find the design I was picturing in my head, something that felt clean, beautiful, and actually meant something. And that got me thinking: why should it be this hard to find candles like that? So I decided to stop looking and start experimenting myself.
By the time I got back to NYC, I'd poured my very first batch, and honestly, I never looked back. What began as a personal experiment turned into something I couldn't keep to myself, so I started Flickr Candles to share it with others who feel the same way about fragrance, culture, and design.
These days, every candle is still hand-poured in small batches, inspired by traditions and motifs close to my heart, with a little modern flair mixed in.
